U-LUV Foods

Design and Rebranding Intern

At U-LUV Foods, I was able to spend a summer as their Design and Rebranding Intern. Previously known as Bowbeas, I created new logos and package design for the emerging brand. Materials were to be used for sales, demonstrations, promotions to potential stores, and much more. In addition, I worked closely with the owners of U-LUV foods brainstorming about further tactics and pursuing the market. This internship was an incredible opportunity to fully develop my graphic design skills in addition to learning the skills needed in entrepreneurial business.

Graphic Design

I was able to refine my graphic design skills through creation of brand new logos and package design. From ideation, submission, revisions, and a creating a final product I gained plenty of experience working in the industry. I learned how to accept criticism of my work and collaborate with others. My proudest accomplishment is creating a design that has been used for purchase in most health food stores!

Marketing

Working at U-LUV Foods gave me the opportunity to offer my business advice and see it in action through the company's rebranding. Brainstorming sessions with the leaders of the company led to experiential learning that I have been able to take with me in the rest of my design career. Shown is the 22-page Business Plan I designed for the company to market to potential clients.

Ideation

Failure is a key component of design. A major portion of this internship was revising designs many times until a product was achieved that both myself and the company was proud of. Shown below are some of the early designs I created for the company which differ vastly from the finalized product.

Final Product

After many revisions and meetings, the U-LUV foods team and I agreed upon the designs shown below! They have been used in manufacturing packaging of cookie bags, online promotional content, branded banners, in-store demonstration tools, and much more.
